A wheel throwing taster session to get your hands on some clay and have a go on the wheel! Saturday 16th of May 1:00-4:00 Session - 3 hours.
Hi there ! I’m so excited to welcome you to my glorious studio to have a go on a pottery wheel. This taster has been designed with complete beginners in mind, to allow you to have a go and get your hands on some clay. I’ll demonstrate how to throw on the wheel and over the next few hours you’ll have a go. At the end of the session pick your two best efforts, pick a glorious colourful glaze and I’ll do the rest for you. Your pots will be ready to collect either from the studio or one of my market locations (Grassmarket or Stockbridge) in just a few weeks!
Please arrive a little early so you can grab a tea or coffee and get settled. Wear comfortable clothes that you don’t mind getting a little dirty - I tend to wear a large shirt over my tops. You’ll want to remove any rings (I certainly do) and tie long hair back unless you want an interesting “do” when you leave.
Studio - the Studio is located at Granton Station, Edinburgh. You can park for free for THREE HOURS at the Morrisons car park across the road. The area is well served by Lothian Buses. When you book don’t forget to give me your email address, or even better - your phone number so I can get in touch.
